What is a blind pigs in chess?

  • Mate
  • Pattern
  • King

Blind pigs is a mating concept: a pair of rooks on the opponent's second rank are referred to as "pigs" as they tend to devour pawns and pieces, and "blind pigs" if they cannot find the mate. The teaching point is to identify which escape squares are controlled and which defender is missing.
