Getting Started
How do I connect my Chess.com or Lichess account?+
Sign in to Chessiro with your email or Google account, then enter your Chess.com or Lichess username. Chessiro will automatically sync your recent games. You don't need to share your password — we only read public game data.
Is Chessiro free to use?+
Yes. Game reviews with Stockfish 18 analysis are completely free with no daily limit. The free plan also includes 2 AI Coach sessions and 10 Replay Mistakes puzzles per week. Chessiro Pro removes all limits.
Which platforms does Chessiro support?+
Chessiro works with both Chess.com and Lichess. You can also upload any PGN file to review games from other platforms or over-the-board tournaments.
Game Review & Analysis
How does the game review work?+
Chessiro analyzes every move in your game using the Stockfish engine. Each move is classified as best, good, inaccuracy, mistake, or blunder. You get an accuracy percentage, an evaluation graph, and opening information — all without needing to install anything.
What is the AI Coach?+
The AI Coach goes beyond engine evaluation. It explains why a move was a mistake in plain language, suggests what you should have been thinking about, and identifies patterns in your play. It's like having a chess teacher review your game with you.
Can I review games from PGN files?+
Yes. Go to the Upload PGN page and paste your PGN text or upload a .pgn file. Chessiro will analyze it the same way it analyzes synced games from Chess.com or Lichess.
How accurate is the analysis?+
Chessiro uses Stockfish 18, one of the strongest chess engines in the world. Each position is analyzed at sufficient depth to provide accurate evaluations for club and intermediate players. The AI Coach explanations are powered by Google Gemini.
Puzzles & Training
What are Replay Mistakes puzzles?+
After a game review, Chessiro identifies positions where you made a mistake and turns them into puzzles. You get to try again and find the stronger move. This is more effective than random puzzle training because you're practicing positions relevant to your actual games.
What are GM Puzzles?+
GM Puzzles are training positions taken from grandmaster games. They help you practice tactical patterns and positional ideas at a higher level. New puzzles are generated from a curated database of instructive positions.
How is this different from Lichess or Chess.com puzzles?+
The key difference is personalization. Replay Mistakes puzzles come from your own games, so you're working on your specific weaknesses rather than random tactics. The AI Coach can also explain the solution in the context of the game where the mistake happened.
Account & Billing
How do I upgrade to Chessiro Pro?+
Go to the Pricing page or tap 'Upgrade' in your Profile. Chessiro Pro is billed monthly and includes a 7-day free trial for new users. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal.
Can I change my connected chess account?+
Yes. Open your Profile, then tap 'Change' next to your connected account. Note that changing your account will reset your puzzle progress since puzzles are generated from your games.
How do I delete my account?+
Contact us at rakshit@chessiro.com and we'll delete your account and all associated data. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it first through the billing portal.
Technical
Can I install Chessiro as an app?+
Yes. Chessiro is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On mobile, you can add it to your home screen for a native app-like experience with faster loading. On Android, you'll see an install prompt. On iOS, tap the Share button and select 'Add to Home Screen'.
Does Chessiro work offline?+
Chessiro requires an internet connection for game syncing, analysis, and AI coaching. However, once a game review is loaded, you can browse through the moves without an active connection.
Which browsers are supported?+
Chessiro works best in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. For the best experience on mobile, we recommend using Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android.
